Special note regarding Banshee bikes: Banshee has recently undergone a change in distribution. We are still selling Banshee bikes, but they generally take about 2 - 3 weeks to get once your order is placed. As long as you're willing to wait, we're happy to get you rolling! Some size/color options may incur a longer lead time, please contact us for details.

It would be wrong to classify the Spitfire as a cross country bike. Although it's 140mm of travel may place it in that category, the geometry of this bike says otherwise. With it's low slung center of gravity, slack head angle, and bump killing KS-Link suspension, the Spitfire is truly a downhiller's trail bike.

As with most of Banshee's 2015 full suspension bikes, the Spitfire is equipped with Banshee's KS Link suspension design. KS Link has been optimized to provide incredible efficiency on the climbs while maintaining excellent high-speed handling characteristics on the descent. Internally ribbed seat and chain stays offer extra strength and stiffness.

Adding to the Spitfire's versatility, this frame is equipped with flip-chips, allowing you to adjust the head angle, BB height, and chainstay length in three separate increments. Aggressive trail riders will likely run the bike in the low/slack/short position, which provides a relatively slack 66° head angle, 13.1" BB height, and 17.2" chainstays. Those doing more climbs and longer rides will enjoy the high/steep/long position, providing a 67° head angle, 13.6" BB height, and 17" chainstays. There's also a neutral setting, if your riding style doesn't cater to either extreme. Naturally, the Spitfire has been built to be compatible with all drivetrain configurations. A low-direct front derailleur tab insures accurate placement and crisp shifting. Please note, Banshee recommends using only SRAM S3 Low Direct 2x10 or 3x10 front derailleurs on the Spitfire. These are fully compatible with both SRAM and Shimano cranksets. For 1x drivetrains, the Spitfire is fully chainguide compatible with an integrated ISCG '05 tab.

The Spitfire is equipped with a 44/56mm tapered headtube, allowing you to use either 1-1/8" or tapered forks with minimal stack height. For those looking to alter head angle, the Spitfire is Angleset compatible.

The Spitfire frame comes stock with the Cane Creek DB Inline rear shock and 12x142mm - 27.5" dropouts. 26" dropouts are available upon request.
