Forbidden Bike Co. Dreadnought Frame
Forbidden proved it was possible to blur the lines between a traditional trail bike and full-on enduro bike with the well-received Druid, but decided it was time to up the ante and break out the big guns. Meet the Forbidden Dreadnought; with 154mm of rear wheel travel, optimized around a 170mm fork, it can handle everything you throw at it.
Forbidden developed the Dreadnought to pedal up any climb, while exhibiting DH bike confidence on the descents. Named after a warship with the name meaning "fear nothing," the Dreadnought is ready to take on any climb or descent you throw at it with 100% confidence.
Like the Druid, Forbidden took a measured approach to the geometry design of the Dreadnought, based around a high single pivot. The Dreadnought provides a more stable ride at high speed, thanks to a longer wheelbase, but also remains agile in slower technical situations. With downhill-bike inspired geometry, the Dreadnought is ready for all-day epics, enduro races, local shuttle trails, and bike-park hot laps.
- High Pivot - positioned to provide a fully rearward axle path.
- Rate Control Linkage - Designed for a progressive and truly bottomless feel, pairs best with high-volume air shocks and coil shocks.
- Idler Pulley - Enables the ideal amount of anti-squat at sag, with virtually no pedal kickback.
- Mullet Compatible - Using Forbidden's proprietary Ziggy Link.
