Specialized Enduro S4 - Fanatik Select Build
Fanatik SELECT embodies Fanatik’s goal of equipping you with unique, high-end mountain bikes customized to your tastes, while affording you the ease of a one-click buying experience. By creating a build tailored to the needs we see most frequently, kitted out with one-of-a-kind decals and color accents, you’ll be riding in style faster than ever before.
This edition of Fanatik SELECT is built around the bike that started a movement, Specialized’s Enduro. By combining suspension traits that would be at home on a downhill bike with weight and pedaling characteristics that beg for all-day adventures, the Enduro is not only race-ready, but up for anything—and we do mean anything—that you can throw at it.
We set this bike rolling on a hand-built wheelset made up of We Are One’s made-in-Canada Union rim laced to Industry Nine’s renowned Hydra hubs, which feature the durability, flashiness, and of course engagement, that you’d expect from a top-tier build.
We polled the shop to find which suspension to outfit this SELECT with, and a ZEB/Super Deluxe (ft. the MegNeg air can) combo was the consensus. A big bike like the Enduro deserves a capable fork, and with its incredibly plush feel at the top end and supportive mid-stroke, the ZEB won’t steer you wrong—literally and figuratively. By running the upgraded MegNeg air can, the Super Deluxe goes from highly capable to incredibly refined, with a more supple entrance into its travel.
In keeping with the RockShox suspension, this build runs a full SRAM groupo, from Code RSC brakes, for their power, reliability, and ease of maintenance, to the AXS edition GX drivetrain, for its clean aesthetic and crisp, precise shifting.
Purple accents provided by Industry Nine’s made-in-USA stem and hubs plus a one-off set of custom decals complement the smoke-gray frame, and the build is tied together by Specialized’s tan wall tires; a 2.6” T9 Butcher up front and 2.3” T7 Eliminator in back.
Does this S4 Enduro speak to you? As a one-of-a-kind custom, we will not be using these decal patterns anywhere else, so if this build has your name on it act now, because once it’s gone, it’s gone. And of course, if this only serves as inspiration for your own creation, you know how to make your dream build come true—the Fanatik Bike Builder.
