Lubing your chain before (or after) every ride will help reduce wear and tear on your drive train, keep it shifting smoothly, and keep things running quietly. A lighter lube, like the Dumonde Tech Lite or Tri-flow will suit dryer, dustier conditions better, and a more viscous lube like Dumonde Tech Originial or even the Liquid Grease will best serve those users in very muddy, wet conditions. Be aware that lubricant on the exterior of your chain will only serve to attract dirt, so be sure to wipe off any excess with a rag after you apply it!
