Description
OPTIS (Odyssey Pneumatic Tire Insert System) is a lightweight, highly tunable tubeless tire insert designed to eliminate compromises in tire pressure, protection, and performance. Tires are the bike’s primary connection to the ground—delivering grip, absorbing impacts, and supporting cornering forces—and OPTIS enhances all three. By separating support pressure from tire pressure, OPTIS lets riders fine-tune traction and efficiency without sacrificing stability or durability.
Unlike foam inserts, OPTIS is a pneumatic system that installs like a traditional tube and actively presses the tire bead into the rim. Inflated to a higher pressure than the tire itself, OPTIS prevents burping, protects rims and tires from hard impacts, and allows significantly lower tire pressures for increased grip and control. In the event of a major tire failure, OPTIS can temporarily lock the bead to the rim, providing a short run-flat window to safely come to a stop. The result is a lighter, faster, and more confidence-inspiring wheel setup with improved rolling efficiency and easier installation.
