Description

The FOX 36 represents the pinnacle of all-mountain suspension, delivering big-fork confidence in a lighter, more versatile package. Long regarded as the benchmark for single crown performance, the latest evolution of the 36 brings increased stiffness, improved small-bump sensitivity, and a more composed ride at speed. With a redesigned chassis and 20% increase in torsional stiffness, it now approaches the steering precision of the FOX 38 while remaining significantly lighter—making it the ideal choice for aggressive trail and enduro riders.

At the heart of the update is a reengineered FLOAT air spring, designed to stay smooth and active even under heavy loads and high-speed impacts. By allowing the piston to move independently under bending forces, the fork maintains consistent traction and responsiveness through rough terrain. Increased bushing overlap (30mm more than the previous generation) further reduces friction and enhances fore-aft stiffness, resulting in a more stable, planted feel when pushing hard.

The GRIP X2 damper takes performance even further with class-leading 4-way adjustability, featuring an expanded valve system for greater tuning range with less cross-talk. Updates to the GRIP X2 include a refined mid-valve piston and improved oil flow, delivering more support without added harshness. Combined with inboard bypass channels that reduce pressure buildup and friction, the 36 offers exceptional sensitivity, traction, and control across the full stroke.

Thoughtful details like low-profile bleed valves, a Shimano tool-compatible air spring top cap, and an updated mudguard mounting system round out a fork built for real-world performance.
