Born from the legacy of two of SRAM’s most celebrated brake platforms, Motive Ultimate is built for riders who demand maximum control in a lightweight, race-ready package. Delivering Code-like power with Level-like weight, it redefines expectations for what an XC/trail brake can do.
A sculpted 4-piston caliper delivers confident, tunable braking with superb traction and modulation. The Stealth lever body seamlessly integrates into AXS cockpits and wireless superbikes, while tool-free reach adjust allows riders to dial in feel and fit on the fly.
Top-tier materials make this the most premium Motive trim: a signature carbon lever with bearing pivot, titanium hardware, and a Blasted Clear anodized finish with polished machined edges. It runs exclusively on Maxima Mineral Oil, delivering long-lasting performance, excellent heat management, and easier disposal.
Motive Ultimate also includes SRAM’s Bleeding Edge™ caliper port for clean, drip-free maintenance and is compatible only with the SRAM Mineral Oil Bleed Kit.
How Motive Ultimate, Silver, and Bronze Compare
All Motive brakes share the same powerful caliper design, tool-free reach adjust, MMX compatibility, and use SRAM Large brake pads—but each model brings its own mix of materials and features. Motive Ultimate is the top-tier option, featuring titanium hardware, a carbon lever blade, a lever pivot bearing, and an adjustable banjo fitting on the caliper. Motive Silver uses an alloy lever blade with a pivot bearing and retains the adjustable banjo. Motive Bronze simplifies the system with an alloy lever blade, a bushing pivot, and a hose compression fitting instead of a banjo. No matter the model, Motive delivers confident, consistent braking with smart design choices across the range.
